I Started my creative journey
over 30 years ago ,studying Interior Design in Perth ,Western Australia. This ignited a passion for Design and the ideology around Art and architecture .How can we nurture creative thinking and bring it to our living spaces.
In 1997, I moved to Melbourne to study Visual arts at R.M.I.T. It was a wonderful creative time where I shared a studio space in a Artist collective warehouse on the Maribyrnong in Footscray. It was in this space I created serenity (pictured to the right)A life size sculptural piece. The piece was an exploration between the busy lives of the friends I cast and a peaceful interlude or pause to the everyday stresses.

On moving to the NSW south coast I set up a glass business doing a range of textured glass panels for architectural use. At this time I became fascinated by the combination of glass and metal .I learnt to weld and began creating sculptures which I exhibited and sold. It has now been 20 years living on the south coast and I continue my creative journey with learning new techniques and
disciplines ,which include woodblock printing, mosaicing and lime plastering.

Whilst in Melbourne I was asked to spend some time in a friends glass studio with the view to create a glass figure as I was interested in the process of casting. Christopher John is an exceptional glass Artist who works in large scale pieces using stained glass ,glass slumping and texturing. The piece I created pictured to the left "Can you see yourself in her heart" is the result of this time.
Also in Melbourne I took part in several exhibitions with paintings and sculptures. Which included exhibitions at the Maryibynong Arts Centre in Footscray and Eckesleys in Collingwood.I lived in Melbourne for 4 years before moving to the NSW south coast.
